Another threat is just (the reduction of) in-person events. Like of course there's more online events and people are spending more time online, working from home, which means that people wear more comfortable, maybe athletic or athleisure clothing a lot more than they used to.
That being said, in-person events are not going to be completely eliminated. But the ratio of events has changed.
And so if you're a retail brand, a fashion retail brand, if you're not creating opportunities for people to wear your clothing, then that's a missed opportunity, in my opinion.
I think that clothing brands, in addition to just regular digital ads, need to create opportunities for people to enjoy, embody, and express through the clothing that they are buying from your brand.
